MISSION STATEMENT
To educate and empower the next generation of collaborative storytellers.
What is TEAM Theatre?
TEAM Theatre is more than just a youth theatre program—it’s a creative community where emerging artists of all ages come together to explore, collaborate, and bring stories to life. Whether onstage or behind the scenes, every student plays an essential role in transforming scripts into stunning performances.
Founded in 2015 by theatre professionals Rachel Robinson and Salim Razawi, TEAM Theatre was born from a shared vision: to provide high-quality performing arts education rooted in teamwork, creativity, and hands-on experience.
At its core, TEAM Theatre treats performing arts as a team sport. Just as every athlete is essential to the success of a game, every artist—whether actor, stage manager, designer, or lighting tech—is crucial to the success of a show. We believe that theatre training should encompass all aspects of the production process, giving young performers a 360-degree understanding of what it takes to make theatre happen.
Why Choose TEAM Theatre?
In today’s fast-paced, tech-driven world, theatre offers something invaluable: a space to connect, create, and grow. TEAM Theatre stands out as one of the East Bay’s top youth performing arts programs by focusing on more than just performance—we build leaders, collaborators, and confident communicators.
According to arts education expert Lisa Phillips, the top 10 skills children develop through theatre include:
Unlike quick-turnaround theatre programs, we’re not a “musical theatre factory.” At TEAM Theatre, your tuition invests in meaningful training, personalized mentorship, and high-quality productions. It’s theatre education with depth, intention, and lasting impact.
