Refine your improv craft in our advanced long-form class! Tailored for experienced improvisers, this course delves deep into scene work and character development. Through intensive exercises and feedback, you'll sharpen your improvisational skills and explore nuanced characterizations. Each session culminates in a final performance where you'll showcase your newfound abilities in a long-form improv show. Whether you're honing your comedic timing or delving into dramatic storytelling, our class provides a supportive and challenging environment to elevate your improv to the next level. TEAM TROUPE MEMBER Led.
Weekly practice jams start at Team Theatre this Sunday.
Everyone is welcome (encouraged!) to attend, the more the better. Some basic improv skills preferred.
By default, we'll just run through games and scenes we know. But feel free to bring other ideas, it's all good practice.
Please let Chet know if you can make it at [email protected], just so he has a rough idea of how many are coming.Also: We're collecting a $10 fee for each session, just to help TT pay for the space. You can bring cash or venmo Chet and he will forward, or register directly on our-classes page. Long term, we can look into getting an instructor to lead these (but it might mean a larger drop-in fee).

This 4-week session is designed for teens looking to sharpen their performance skills, boost confidence, and master the art of unscripted storytelling. Through dynamic games, scene work, and ensemble-based exercises, students will develop their comedic timing, spontaneity, and stage presence. Whether you're an aspiring actor, a future comedian, or just looking to break out of your shell, this class is for you!

MARK DUNCANSON
Mark is a BATS School of Improv graduate who started his improv career in Liquid Soap, an episodic improvised soap opera. Since then, he has made a point of injecting improv into his professional life from the YMCA and Volunteer Center of Alameda County to his work at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton as Recreation Supervisor, retired. Mark has enjoyed time onstage with BATS Improv, How We First Met, Un-Scripted Theater Company, Leela, Center Rep, Bay Area Children’s Theatre, and more. Mark currently works in applied improv training companies across the country in the benefits of the “Yes, And…” mindset.
Mark is the founder of the award-winning improv troupe Creatures of Impulse (COI). COI has the honor of being the only improv troupe to represent the State of California at the Teen Comedy Festival in Chicago for four years, the only teen improv troupe to perform at the New York Musical Improv Festival, has performed at West Coast Musical Improv Festival three years, and was awarded Best of Fest in 2019 at the San Francisco Improv Festival. Mark is currently a permanent company member with the internationally renowned Improv Playhouse of San Francisco.

Trevor March
Trevor is an alumni of Creatrues of Impulse, a nationally recognized improv troupe directed by Mark & Salim. He is an actor, producer, singer, writer, and creator. He is also the founder of the app, MyBook – Music Book. Trevor is a proud graduate of Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA) and a Bay Area native from Livermore. Some of Trevor’s past credits include Gabe in Next to Normal, Shakespeare in Something Rotten!, Nigel in Something Rotten!, Cornelius in Hello, Dolly!, Davey in The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Billy in SQREAM!He has been a main stage performer for Disney Cruise Line, as well as a resident guest vocalist for Princess Cruise Line.
